Mr. Christie's Bio
It is great to be a part of the Bobcat team. This will be my second year at PHS and my 14th in the Paradise Unified School District. I have previously taught at Paradise Intermediate School and Pine Ridge (formerly Mountain Ridge Middle School). I also spent about ten years at Children's Community Charter School. Before coming to Paradise I taught for four years in Lexington, Kentucky.
I currently hold degrees in Liberal Studies and History, but I also completed ALMOST all of my work for a Master's degree in Special Education (I never finished my thesis). I am currently working on a Master's degree in Education Administration at CSU, Chico. I also work with the California On My Honor Civics Institute, a collaborative project between the Administrative Office of the Courts and CSU, San Marcos.
When I'm not in school I am usually with my family. We live in Magalia and enjoy camping, fishing and reading together. You may also have seen me around the baseball diamond or soccer field as I have coached more than forty youth teams in the last 20 years. I feel privileged to be part of the ridge community.
