Butte College Reg2Go

What is Reg2Go?

Reg2Go is Butte College's name for the priority registration program available for local high school seniors. The process involves online registration for Butte College, assessment testing, and finally, a "field trip" to the Butte College main campus to meet with Butte College counselors and register for fall classes.

What if I have already taken classes at Butte College?

Students who have taken classes at Butte College prior to graduation from high school, either through the 2+2 program at PHS or on their own as a concurrent K-12 student, must re-register as a graduated high school student in the Reg2Go program to be a part of Reg2Go - prior K-12 enrollment will not count. I registered online for Reg2Go on my own (not in the Career Center). What do I do now?

Students who registered online for Butte College but did not sign up in the Career Center for this assessment test must sign up with Ginny Brown in the Career Center for an assessment test day/time. Bring your Butte College ID number to the Career Center to sign up for your preferred time; times will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Assessment tests are being given in the PHS library on Wednesday, March 28, and Thursday, March 29, at 8:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. The assessment tests are about two hours long.

How do I sign up for classes?

1. After completing the assessment test, obtain a School Excursion form from the Career Center. (Students who take the assessment test at PHS will be given a form when they complete the tests.)

2. Have the form signed by both a parent/guardian AND the student's teachers, permitting the student to take the bus to Butte College for our Counseling, Registration & Orientation Day, and return it promptly to the Career Center to reserve your spot on a bus.

3. Take the bus to Butte College Tuesday, April 24 (leaves PHS at 8:30 a.m. and returns at 2:30 p.m.).

When do I have to pay for my classes? How does financial aid work?

Registration fees are due within 7 days of registration; students who have not made payment arrangements within the "7 Days to Pay" window will be dropped from classes. It's recommended that financial arrangements be in place when classes are selected. There are three options for payment:

1. Pay fees at the Business Office on the main campus, or online with a credit card (Master Card or Visa).

2. Create a payment plan online (go to the student's MyBC portal). "Payment plans vary based on when you enroll and which payment option you select. Payments can be distributed over a maximum of four installments, although some plans have fewer installments. The down payment can also vary between 0% and 50%. You will have the opportunity to view the complete details of the payment plan you select before you give final authorization to create it." More information is available at http://www.butte.edu/district_info/7days/#create payplan?

3. Apply for a "BOG (Board of Governors) waiver." This is done by showing proof of sufficient eligibility for financial assistance by completing the FAFSA online (go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/) or provide proof of other financial assistance (scholarship, patron agreement, etc.) to the Butte College Business Office.

I have more questions about Reg2Go. Please direct other questions about Reg2Go to your student's guidance counselor or Ginny Brown in the Career Center (e-mail Ginny at gbrown@pusdk12.org or stop by during Career Center hours, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 - 3:30).
